Catherine Pampalone

Cathy discovered the art of fused glass at WaterStreet Glassworks in Benton Harbor, MI. In glass, she creates landscapes, functional dishes, as well as pieces in a rare technique called Sgraffito. Using glass powder that is sifted onto a plain piece of glass, she skillfully moves the powder to make stunning, contrasting images. The piece is then fired in a kiln.

More recently, she began creating ink paintings. These rich and colorful inks are blended together with specialized tools to make one-of-a-kind paintings in rich and vibrant colors. It is wonderful to watch how these inks blend and create their own life on paper.
