I began my journey with felting over 10 years ago, when my daughter attended Waldorf school in Chicago and insisted I buy roving (unspun wool) and felting needles. When I first encountered wool, I was astounded by the richness and variations in the types of wool available and the ways in which wool roving can be made into a strong durable material. I have been experimenting with combinations of wool, silk and other fibers such as bamboo. Over the years, I have created a number of different types of objects from wool, from vessels to clothing.

Using sheep's wool and silk, I am reminded of the closeness and awareness we should share with other creatures and some of the unique, unspoken gifts nature gives to humanity, softness, beauty and warmth.
